Changing estrogen levels can cause not just symptoms, but increase your rate of bone loss and put you at risk for diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and possibly Alzheimer's. Just because the transition to menopause is “natural” doesn’t mean you have to grin and bear it.

Menopause experts are hard to come by, and we gathered the best board-certified medical practitioners for you.
Not all gynecologists are necessarily experts in menopause. The Cusp physicians have unique expertise in the treatment of perimenopause and menopause symptoms and are certified by the North American Menopause Society (NAMS). Through modern technology, The Cusp is expanding access to these rare experts.
The Cusp does not replace your gynecologist. You’ll still keep your annual appointments, do regular Pap screenings and breast exams, and consult with your gyno on women’s health concerns. Especially if they’re also your primary care physician. You’ll also want to keep your gynecologist in the loop on the treatments The Cusp prescribes for you and how they’re working. Since you’ll share your medical history with your The Cusp doctor, we will be aware of any possible drug interactions and prescribe accordingly. You’ll want your gyno to be able to do the same. Plus, the more health professionals who learn about all the options available for peri/menopause care, the better!
After you book your package, you’ll be prompted to download our app. In the app, you can schedule your first telehealth visit with one of our doctors. The Cusp app is at the center of your care experience with us. Through the app, you can:
Schedule your first visit and subsequent visits
Complete Pre-Consult Questionnaires, which your doctor will review before your first visit. This is highly encouraged, as it enables your doctor to spend more time during visits focusing on treatments, vs. gathering information.
Track your menopause symptoms daily. This is also shared with your doctor so that they are better informed about the frequency and severity of your symptoms.
On your first visit, you’ll meet with your doctor via a HIPAA-compliant (secure and encrypted for your privacy) video conference, during which your doctor will recommend medications, treatments, lifestyle changes, dietary supplements, natural supplements, etc. depending on your symptoms and your preferred course of treatment. There is no physical examination involved. If an examination is necessary, your doctor will make an appropriate referral. Your doctor may also order labs, imaging (like a mammogram or ultrasound), and/or prescriptions during your visit.
The number of visits you’ll need depends on your response to treatment. Most of our members check in with their doctors at least once a month to discuss how they’re feeling, make tweaks to treatment, and track their progress. In between visits, you can also text with your care team via our secure mobile app.
If your doctor at The Cusp needs more information to prescribe the best treatment for you, they may order lab work or tests. We work with a number of labs and imaging facilities, so all you have to do is make an appointment at your preferred location, and the results will be sent directly to us. If you’re a member of an HMO, you may need to work with a specific medical facility.
It depends on the type of service you’re talking about. It’s a different process than you’ll use when going to a typical doctor’s office, and we created a chart to help you understand what’s covered and how.
If you have an FSA or HSA, you may use it to pay for your care with us.

The Cusp complies with the security regulations set forth by HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), which is the standard for the healthcare industry. Protected health information is properly encrypted and stored to ensure your privacy. All video conferencing is done through a HIPAA-compliant platform, which you can learn more about here.
